Woodturning and Woodworking
Woodturning has been a passion of mine since childhood, evolving significantly when I purchased my first lathe in 1996. I have a particular affinity for segmented turning, a technique that involves assembling individual pieces of wood into intricate patterns before shaping them on the lathe. This method allows for endless creative possibilities and results in unique and beautiful designs. Over the years, I’ve crafted many segmented bowls to commemorate special occasions, such as weddings and new homes, or simply to honor the cherished relationships I have with family and friends. Each bowl is more than a functional object; it’s a piece of art that captures a moment in time and reflects the deep connections shared with loved ones. Woodturning is not only a creative outlet but also a meaningful way to celebrate and preserve memories through the beauty of handcrafted art.
