The race begins today!

Today I finally set off on the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race—something I’ve been training hoping, dreaming, and training for 2.5 years.

Race 1 will take us from Portsmouth across the spicy Bay of Biscay, down to Spain, nearly 6,300 miles across the Atlantic to Uruguay—35 days at sea and crossing the equator. One look at a forecast will tell you we are going to have a wild ride out of the channel and across the bay.

Don’t forget… I’m not just sailing, I’m doing this is in honor of my brother-in-law Bob, who we lost to a brain tumor far too soon. I’m sailing to raise funds for the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, a place that brings hope to families facing what Bob did.

Every mile we sail is a step closer to better treatments, better care, and hope for families like ours.
